Saturday 9 May 2026 | OXO Gallery, London
We are delighted to announce our partnership with Women in Art Fair (WIAF) for the Creative Health & Wellbeing Day, taking place on Saturday 9 May 2026 at OXO Gallery, London.
At a time when the pace of technological change is accelerating faster than ever, this day is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the most human tools we have: creativity, community, and wellbeing.
Why Creative Health Matters Now
As artificial intelligence, automation, and digital technologies reshape how we live and work, questions around mental health, resilience, embodiment, and meaning are becoming increasingly urgent. Creative health offers a powerful and accessible response.
Creative practice is not a luxury or an optional extra — it is a vital mechanism for supporting cognitive health, emotional regulation, nervous-system balance, and long-term wellbeing. For artists, creatives, and cultural professionals in particular, sustaining creative practice means sustaining the self.
As Fair Director Jacqueline Harvey notes:
“Creative health is essential to our wellbeing and not optional.”
The Power of Art as a Creative Process
Art-making is more than a finished object or public outcome — it is a process of connection. Through making, individuals engage in deep listening: to the body, to intuition, to emotion, and to lived experience. This process supports self-awareness, reflection, and emotional integration in ways that are often difficult to access through language alone.
As a creative process, art activates multiple areas of the brain simultaneously, fostering focus, problem-solving, emotional release, and a sense of agency. It can slow the nervous system, reduce stress, and create a state of flow where time softens and presence deepens. For many, art becomes a way to process complexity, uncertainty, and change — especially in times of social, technological, and cultural transition.
Importantly, creative practice also builds connection beyond the individual. Shared creative spaces encourage dialogue, empathy, and community, reminding us that creativity is both a personal and collective resource. In this way, art functions as a bridge between inner wellbeing and wider social health.
A Day of Restoration, Insight, and Connection
The Creative Health & Wellbeing Day brings together artists, creatives, neuroscientists, and wellbeing professionals for a carefully curated programme designed to support sustainable creative practice.
The day will include:
- Expert panel discussions exploring creativity, neuroscience, and wellbeing
- Workshops and conversations led by artists and creative health practitioners
- Yoga, sound baths, and guided meditations to support nervous-system regulation and embodied creativity
Together, these sessions explore how creativity supports not only artistic output, but also mental clarity, emotional resilience, and overall health — qualities that will be essential as we navigate the coming technological revolution.
Creativity as a Human Technology
In a world increasingly shaped by machines, creativity remains a distinctly human technology — one that connects mind, body, and spirit. This day is about reclaiming creativity as a source of healing, insight, and collective strength, rather than something squeezed into the margins of busy lives.
Through this partnership between Crystal Clear Holistic Health and Women in Art Fair, we aim to create a safe, inspiring space for dialogue, rest, and renewal — supporting artists and creatives not just to survive, but to flourish.
